Black Sabbath to tour with Ozzy; Philly locals Bardo Pond to open

The original lineup of Black Sabbath will tour North America this summer with legendary Philly space rockers Bardo Pond as support.
Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler said “We’ve had such a good time playing the old songs and the response has been so good we thought it was the right time to get on the road, at least one more time. We’re all getting old you know.”
The tour will begin in Los Angeles and complete 26 dates in the United States before going to Europe. They said they would not be playing in Canada due to the “draconian” border security on either side and the unreliability of being able to return to one country or another.
Bardo Pond guitarist Clint Takeda commented: “This band changed our lives back in the 70’s and stillkicks ass today. It’s a honor to be asked to tour with them.”
To coincide with the tour, a live Sabbath album from 1973 will be released from rare tapes provided by an old tape trader.
